Service Description

Disc replacement could be a solution for chronic cervical disc prolapse or back pain unresponsive to medicine and physiotherapy. It's also utilized in the case of loss of motor function, weakness, or paralysis.

Sections of bone from the spine, compressing a nerve root, are removed and replaced with a piece of bone. The replacement is often acquired from the pelvis.

The second surgical alternative is to remove the inflamed disc and use an artificial disc.

Cancellation Policy

MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY

In an effort to provide excellent patient care, we will be implementing a missed appointment fee without a cancellation of at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations must be done over the phone with a staff member in the neurosurgery department. Our direct # is (469) 833-2927.

Cancellation fee of $25.00 will be applied to your account in the event you fail to notify us 24 hours prior to your appointment time with Dr. Masel. Illness will be excused with a physician’s note explaining your absence.
